What a busy few months it has been!
I haven’t raced as much as I would have liked this season, so I am very excited and thankful to Gulf Western Oil for helping me to come up with a package that will see me racing at Sydney Dragway this weekend for the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder event.
There will be a field of eight Top Fuel dragsters on the track which will be fantastic to be a part of. Last year at this event I finished runner-up to series winner Kelly Bettes – as much as I will be hoping to go one better this year, there is no question it will be tough with seven other Top Fuel pilots all looking to do exactly the same thing!
We will certainly be taking our best shot at it of course – the race car is based at Dad’s place in Brisbane and I live in Melbourne, so I have been earning plenty of frequent flyer points going up to get the car ready for this weekend and we are all looking forward to getting down to business in Sydney.
Amongst all the race prep, there has also been plenty of other stuff going on in the background.
I took my pride and joy to the well-respected Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAA Expo) in Melbourne in April – the car was in the foyer and I was based out of the Gulf Western Oil stand at the very busy three-day show. It was great to talk to so many people from the aftermarket industry and to play a part in the show presence of one of my valued supporters.
As you can see, I have also now got my new website and blog up and running! We still have a few things here and there to finish off and I will also be posting regular blogs with plenty of exciting things coming up to share with you, so make sure you keep coming back from time to time to see the updates.
For now, it is time to go racing! Be sure to follow my Facebook page over the weekend for plenty of event updates and if you are coming to the event, be sure to drop by the pits and say hi.
Regards, Queen of Speed.
